We don't use any analytics or advertising-tracking tools on this website.
Your information is used only to review your booking request, check availability, and get back to you — whether that's an acceptance, a decline, or a question about your stay. We don't use it for marketing, and we never sell or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
We process this information based on your own request to us (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b), steps necessary prior to entering into an agreement for your stay) and our legitimate interest in being able to respond to booking enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
When you submit the booking form, your request is stored in our booking system. Every request is reviewed by hand — nothing is accepted automatically. Once we've made a decision, you receive an automatic email letting you know, sent from booking@senjajovikalodge.no. We keep the information for as long as necessary to handle your request and your stay, and delete it once it's no longer needed for that purpose.
Most stays at Jøvika Lodge are actually booked through Airbnb or Booking.com rather than this website. If you book directly with us through one of those platforms, your information there is handled under that platform's own privacy policy — this page only covers requests submitted through this website's own form.
We don't share your information with anyone else, except our website hosting provider (Domeneshop, a Norwegian host), which only supplies the technical infrastructure and doesn't use your information for its own purposes.
This website sets one necessary technical cookie, used to keep the booking form secure and to keep administrators signed in to the dashboard — not for tracking, analytics or advertising.
The site also loads fonts, icons and animation code from external providers (Google Fonts, Phosphor Icons via unpkg.com, and GSAP via cdnjs.cloudflare.com). Your browser fetches these files directly from those services when you visit the site, the same way it would load an image from an external source — this doesn't set any cookies or involve tracking, but your IP address may in practice be visible to those services at the moment the files are loaded.
