We've pulled the kayaks out of winter storage and they're back down by the dock. Mornings are the move right now — the bay is usually glass-flat before the wind picks up around midday, and you'll likely have the whole inlet to yourself.
A couple of guests paddled out toward the point last weekend and came back talking about a sea eagle that followed them along the shoreline for a while. That's fairly typical out here.
Ask at check-in if you'd like to take a kayak out — we'll point you toward the sheltered route for beginners or the longer one along the point for anyone who wants more of a paddle.
